- La La Land Review by Regina
Yes, but truthfully I don’t really get the hype.
I’m a bit of a sucker for a great musical, and La La Land definitely delivers on that front. Each sequence is visually enchanting, and the music is catchy and emotive. I don’t really see why it seems to be “revolutionary”, but frankly speaking I’m not a huge movie aficionado — for me this film was entertaining and charming and I’ll watch it again for a good time, but that’s about it.
3) “You would enjoy this movie if…”
You like quirky musicals.
4) “This movie made me think about…”
I love both Emma Stone and Ryan Gosling, but I can’t help but to wonder what the same script will look (well, sound) like with an actual cast from Broadway.
5) Overall rating?
3 stars. (Posted on 15/03/2017)
