It's best to go into this film knowing as little as possible, but it will definitely delight both horror and film buffs in general. Check out our Film Club Review of this film.

When Ellen, the matriarch of the Graham family, passes away, her daughter's family begins to unravel cryptic and increasingly terrifying secrets about their ancestry. The more they discover, the more they find themselves trying to outrun the sinister fate they seem to have inherited.

A Quiet Place
M | Jul 18
Director: John Krasinski
Cast: Emily Blunt, John Krasinski, Millicent Simmonds, Noah Jupe

John Kransinski makes his directorial-debut, in which he both wrote and stars, alongside his wife Emily Blunt. An aspirational undertaking, and an interesting concept will leave you on the edge of your seat and shushing the person sitting beside you. Check out our Film Club Review of this film.

Rule No 1: Don't make a sound. Rule No 2: Never leave the path. Rule No 3: Red means run. A family is forced to live in silence while hiding from creatures that hunt by sound. Parents do whatever it takes to keep their children and soon to be new-born safe in a world full of creatures hunting every sound they can hear. Not a sound can be heard from the family hiding in silence, but all it takes is one noise and everything can go wrong.

Jigsaw
MA15+ | Feb 7
Director: Michael Spierig, Peter Spierig
Cast: Matt Passmore, Tobin Bell, Callum Keith Rennie, Hannah Emily Anderson
This is the 8th installment in the Saw franchise and they don't show any signs of slowing down. What began as a low-budget indie film has become a blockbuster series. This latest film promises to be just as gory and full of twists.

Bodies are turning up around the city, each having met a uniquely gruesome demise. As the investigation proceeds, evidence points to one suspect: John Kramer, the man known as Jigsaw, who has been dead for over 10 years.

The Strangers: Prey at Night
MA15+ | Jun 27
Director: Johannes Roberts
Cast: Christina Hendricks, Martin Henderson, Bailee Madison
After 10 years comes the sequel to the 2008 film The Strangers. Reviews have been divided, so we'll leave it up to you to decide whether it was worth the wait...

A family's road trip takes a dangerous turn when they arrive at a secluded mobile home park to stay with some relatives and find it mysteriously deserted. Under the cover of darkness, three masked psychopaths pay them a visit to test the family's every limit as they struggle to survive.

Truth or Dare
M | Aug 15
Director: Jeff Wadlow
Cast: Lucy Hale, Tyler Posey, Violett Beane
Our Office Manager, Sally noted in her Fast 5 Review that it's nostalgic of a 90s teen horror film and doesn’t take itself too seriously. The movie is what it is, a movie aimed at Gen Z with a “touch of horror”.

A harmless game of Truth or Dare among friends turns deadly when someone -- or something -- begins to punish those who tell a lie or refuse the dare.

Unsane
MA15+ | Aug 29
Director: Steven Soderbergh
Cast: Claire Foy, Joshua Leonard, Jay Pharoah
Premiering at Berlin International Film Festival, Unsane is filmed entirely on an iPhone 7 Plus. Does the experiment deliver?

The story of a resilient woman's fight to reclaim her freedom even as she risks her own sanity. Still scarred from the trauma of being terrorised by a stalker, Sawyer Valentini receives treatments at the Highland Creed Behavioral Centre. However, shortly after she unwittingly commits herself to the mental institution and is unable to leave, she catches sight of a facility staffer who, she is convinced, is actually her stalker. But is he real or a product of her delusion?

Winchester
M | Jun 13
Director: Michael Spierig, Peter Spierig
Cast: Helen Mirren, Sarah Snook, Finn Scicluna-O'Prey
It's very likely that you've heard about the Winchester Mystery House. Inspired by true events at the most haunted house in history, the Spierig Brothers attempt to turn this real life setting into a fear-filled feature film.

On an isolated stretch of land 50 miles outside of San Francisco sits a house that knows no end. Built by Sarah Winchester, it stands seven stories tall and contains hundreds of rooms, staircases to nowhere and doors that open into walls. To the outsider it looks like a monstrous monument to a disturbed woman's madness. But Sarah is not building for herself, for her niece or for the troubled Doctor Eric Price who has been summoned to the house. She is building a prison, an asylum for hundreds of vengeful ghosts and the most terrifying among them have a score to settle with the Winchesters...

Insidious: The Last Key
M
| May 5
Director: Adam Robitel
Cast: Lin Shaye, Leigh Whannell, Angus Sampson
The first Insidious film came out in 2010 and with a steady release schedule this is now the 4th installment of the series, with a fifth scheduled for release in 2021. This film however is the second in the chronology of the series following Chapter 3 (2015) which was a prequel to the original. Confused? Maybe. Scared? Definitely!

Brilliant parapsychologist Elise Rainier receives a disturbing phone call from a man who claims that his house is haunted. Even more disturbing is the address--413 Apple Tree Lane in Five Keys, N.M.--the home where Elise grew up as a child. Accompanied by her two investigative partners, Rainier travels to Five Keys to confront and destroy her greatest fear--the demon that she accidentally set free years earlier.

Summer of 84
MA15+ | Oct 24
Director: François Simard, Anouk Whissell, Yoann-Karl Whissell
Cast: Graham Verchere, Judah Lewis, Caleb Emery
With the rise in popularity of nostalgic media set in the 80's, this is yet another that jumps on the bandwagon of It and Stranger Things. A group of teens set out to investigate a potential serial killer. Do they do much more with the genre than we've already seen? I guess we'll have to watch and find out...

Every serial killer is somebody's neighbour. For 15-year-old Davey, the thought of having a serial killer in his suburban town is a scary yet exciting prospect at the start of a lazy summer. In hormonal overdrive, Davey and his friends dream of sexual conquests until the news reports of the Cape May killer. Davey convinces his friends that they must investigate and they uncover that his next-door neighbour, an unassuming, single police officer, could be the prime suspect. Could Davey possibly be right, or is it his overactive imagination?

Mom & Dad
MA15+ | May 23
Director: Brian Taylor
Cast: Nicolas Cage, Selma Blair, Anne Winters
Who can say no to a wacky Nicolas Cage film? Mom & Dad flips the genre of spooky children on it's head and it's now the parents we need to be afraid of in this comedy-horror.

A teenage girl and her little brother must survive a wild 24 hours during which a mass hysteria of unknown origins causes parents to turn violently on their own kids.
