Too much relying on cheap jump-scares that makes it less scary and at times, very predictable. Didn’t like it when they do too many irrational things for the sake of steering the story a certain way. The characters come together to kill Pennywise, yet they withhold important information from each other, don’t let each other explain what’s going on or talk things through right from the beginning. The characters were funny as kids, which I liked but put those traits into grown adults and it can come across completely differently. They also tried to rely on the first one too much by doing these irrelevant flashbacks. Not scary, bad storytelling (Posted on 9/01/2020)Star - Digitales Film Club Review by Mali

Unfortunately I didn’t enjoy this as much as Chapter 1; it was too long and overly complicated, with a fair amount of unnecessary scenes. Whilst the casting and the acting was great, it wasn’t quite put together enough to capture me through this long watch. (Posted on 9/01/2020)Star
