About the course This course covers the core concepts of Houdini and proceduralism. The course covers procedural modeling, lightning, rendering and fundamentals of FX simulations. This will be quite intense course, and you will be given a lot of practical exercises that will help you build a strong knowledge of Houdini and procedural thinking. You will practice on a lot of small exercises and very small intrro to learn on your own when you click the course.

You will learn to work in collaboration with co-workers to quickly deliver setups as you would do in a production environment. On completion of this course you will: Gain a good understanding of the core concepts of Houdini and proceduralism, Be able to develop simple procedural workflows and have them rendered in Mantra, Learn how to troubleshoot a workflow, Fix problems on your own, allowing you to further learn Houdini by yourself.
Understand the key elements that make an FX believable timing, animation, physics…. Understand the fundamental techniques make your own pixar intro procedural animation. Know the best practices to develop production quality procedural FX setups. Participants will develop various simple procedural assets that will be used to build and render a broader environment.
