These laws were called the Intolerable Acts by the colonists. These laws were considered extreme by the colonists as they closed Boston Harbor, made it so all law cases pertaining to British officials had to be held in Britain, banned town meetings, and made Massachusetts colonists house and feed the British regulars. The colonists thought this was an unreasonable reaction, but in all reality Britain really should have done this. This war was definitely the beginning of the fight for independence for the colonists, thy showed the British that they could stand up for themselves and that they deserved better treatment. The colonists were mistreated from the start the British forced them to pay their war debts basically and controlled them harshly this caused the colonists to rise up and take back power. These events eventually led to the American Revolution and colonists. Many scholars believe that the French and Indian War was the turning point that led to a downhill spiral of the relationship between the American Colonies and Great Britain.And if any one of them do at any time fail of their duty, presently the whole Household government goes to ruine and decay.
