Brittle pla filament - sorry, can
One of the biggest challenges when printing with any filament is dialing in the correct printing and bed temperature. It would certainly make our 3D printing life much easier if PLA printed at one specific temperature that everyone around the world could just copy, but unfortunately, the answer is not that simple. For example, some types of PLA can print really well at around degrees C, whereas others may require temperatures as high as degrees C. The best way to dial in your PLA printing temperature is to start at around degrees C and then move up or down depending on the result. Even a couple of degrees can make a difference, so make a note of what temperature you set and the results you got. Make sure that the print speed, retraction, and bed temperature are the same across all of your prints. brittle pla filamentI have an ender 5 pro and when i leave the filament in it for a while it always ends up breaking inbetween the spool and feeder. I have moved both the feeder and spool many times but nothing works. Does this happen to anyone else?

Can anyone offer any help or reasons why this happens please? I keep my filaments in a plastic container and use one of these Mini dehumidifiers.
Note: this only prevents the filaments from becoming too moist. It won't find filament that is already too wet. Brittle pla filament not due to the printer that PLA brrittle, it's just that after a while it absorbs moisture and becomes very brittle so it tends to snap at any points of stress or even just break apart in general.

The filament that ships with the ender 5 pro is utter garbage. I have the same model and the exact same thing happens. This can be an issue with nearly any filament and any printer, especially if you live in a humid zone.
It's best to store your printed unloaded with the filament climate controlled in some way or another, but a quick trip to a dehydrator can get it back in good shape. Thank you everyone that replied.
What is the best bed temperature for 3D printing PLA
I'll give these ideas a try and Im glad to hear this is a thing that happens. I really appreciate it.
Maybe you where unlucky with the spool you got and it got to hot at some point. If that happens, the material crystallizes and gets brittle. Brittle pla filament curious, are you using Sunlu PLA? That filament always snaps for me if it is held straight ppa more than about 15 hours. I also use 3d solutech and it goes many days, and it's just fine.
3D Filament Types and Uses
Ive been using the filament that comes with the printer. I switched it to esun and it has stayed for about 12 hours now. Use of this site constitutes acceptance of our User Agreement and Privacy Policy. All rights reserved.]
Hardly I can believe that.
I am very grateful to you for the information.
