Although acute appendicitis is a common cause of hospital admission, its best treatment is still a matter of debate [ 1 ]. Advances in diagnostics and the development of clinical scores led to a decline of appendectomy for acute appendicitis [ 2 homeostasis.ppt, 3 ].
