Wait, are they saying one is supposed to see an actual image in their mind? The more I watched the video, the more confused I got.
link I asked three people with me at the time to try it too. I made a post on my WhatsApp change blindness video asking if people can see an apple blindnness they imagine it and all those who replied said yes. Two even realized through our conversation that they have what is called hyperphantasia, because their visualization is very vivid, almost alive. It was difficult to explain this to those I asked though.

I have great memory and before this awareness I thought I saw images. I do imagine things and I think I see them. Here I found this image below and asked people to show me how vivid the image in their mind was. Many said the change blindness video and 3rd apple, or something in-between. I finally agreed that I do indeed have aphantasia, because whatever image I think I visualize in my mind is hidden behind the 5th head with no apple.

Someone on the Aphantasia group page on facebook that I joined later used this analogy which describes perfectly what I experience. And everytime a newly discovered aphant joins the group, the sentiments is the same. The awareness did help me understand certain things I do. Changr, right, mirror images, all so change blindness video confusing for me. More like an out of sight, out of mind situation. It also makes it difficult to do visualization meditations or any exercise that requires visualizing.
It also means I cannot draw or paint anything from memory.]
