But can we discover the Christian God in the arts that have been made to reflect a belief system outside of the Judeo-Christian tradition? Yes, a majority of the greatest works of art in the Christian tradition were originally created as commissions for churches, religious leaders, or private Christian donors. This donor system provided a good living for talented painters, sculptors, composers, and writers. And their work is also a rich source of delight and insight for anyone and click. How will we ever grow or be challenged by new perspectives if we do that?
