I should probably reiterate this actually: That puzzle you are complaining about was called a tech demo. It was there to show off the new physics engine, not to employ a challenge. While Havok wasn't new, the version they used was, and prior to this the said seesaw system would have been prone to errors which Havok is renowned for. The very fact that you could do this was new. Portal was basically one big tech demo that was supposed to appeal in the same way.

An easy to grasp concept that up to this point had not really been explored in video games. The point was to think "imagine the possibilities", which fully blossomed later on with Garry's Mod. Portal was great though only a couple of the final puzzles challenged me. You would think this would not be a serious problem to have to get past if you didn't like the combat sections that these were leading up to.
