Russell Bertrand Peters known as Bud quietly passed out of life two months shy of the century mark on the morning of April 16 at the home of his daughter and son-in-law in Olyphant. He was predeceased by his wife of 68 years, Eileen Kearney Peters.
Bud was a lifelong resident of Altoona. Postal retiree, Bud was a friendly, genial and optimistic man, an ideal grandfather, and was an easy to like and love gentleman who lived a long, good and productive life.
He is also survived by eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. The family offers their heartfelt thanks to the Hospice of the Sacred Heart for their gentle care.
